Reflections

Today I can’t help reflection over how big corporations or even countries handle things. According to this article at Expressen.se all equipment that was taken at PRQ when the hit against The Pirate Bay was commenced still hasn’t been returned. Neither has any charges been done. So why keep the equipment? Well, it’s probably because our government knows that nothing can be done about it. But instead of admitting that they were wrong they obviously want to desperately find something that will make it possible to make a case out of it.

Another fascinating trial is going on in the states, where HP is pressing charges against a former employee. The tricks used to be able to make a case, according to this article on CNN, would be a great script for a spymovie… If the article is somewhere near the truth it’s kind of depressing that big corporations need these ways of making their business work.

*update*

Seems that Microsoft has another case going too: This article from theregister.co.uk says a little about it. (Contains links to the dev-guy too…) Dan Fernandez from Microsoft has a blog about the same issue, from the other side…
