The technology formerly known as Viridian
Written on Oct 08 07 // Microsoft, Windows Server 2008.Today me and a colleague installed RC0 of Windows Server 2008 with the Windows Server Virtualization technology preview. We’ve tried before with the TAP-release but it didn’t really work that well back then, like a bsod in the middle of the installation. After upgrading our HP server with the latest ILO firmware everything went smoothly and we enabled hardware virtualization and hardware DEP. Once installed we just imported our virtual server machines and started them, assigning our different environments to different virtual networks. Like a charm!
If you haven’t tried it yet, get the RC0-release here!
