Creating a cluster with Live Migration and CSV on Hyper-V Server 2008 R2

Boy, that’s a long title. Here’s a video of the demo I did at TechEd Berlin. I’m creating a cluster on Hyper-V Server 2008 R2 with Live Migration, in about 15 minutes. A short rundown of the steps included:

Pre-reqs:
One DC
Shared storage
Two machines with Hyper-V Server 2008 R2

Steps:
Join all machines to domain
Install Failover Clustering role on Hyper-V Server-machines
Configure Hyper-V networks on both (same name)
Connect disks to both servers (iscsicpl)
With Failover Cluster Manager, create a cluster with both machines
Enable CSV
Create a machine
Done!

Since it’s Friday today, you’re worth a beer!
